New Ministry: Cancer Support & Comfort Bags

Facing a cancer diagnosis is incredibly challenging, but no one in our community should have to walk through it alone. Our church is launching a new Cancer Support Ministry to surround local patients with love, prayers, and practical care.

What We Are Doing

We are putting together Comfort Bags to hand out to newly diagnosed patients. These bags are specifically filled with items designed to ease the discomforts of treatment, such as warm blankets, chemo sweaters designed for easy port access, soothing cough drops, nutritional protein shakes, and other thoughtful essentials.

These comfort bags represent the first phase of this ministry. As we grow, our next phase will expand to offer more direct emotional and spiritual support through focused prayer, hospital and home visits, and dedicated support groups.

Our Local Partnership

To ensure these bags get directly into the hands of those who need them most, we are partnering with our local hospital and care providers right here in Troy to distribute them directly to patients starting their treatment journey.

How You Can Help

We are asking our church family to help us stock these bags by donating items. Every single donation helps us bring a little more comfort to someone fighting cancer. Please review our full list of needed items to see how you can contribute.
