Here at Troy Church, we see fourth through sixth graders as being in a unique phase of life. They’re no longer little kids, but not quite ready for youth group. That’s why we’ve created a ministry specifically for them—designed to meet them where they are.
Think of it as the “minor leagues” for youth group, where preteens can engage in similar experiences but in a setting that’s just right for their stage. Our goal is to help them explore foundational truths of the gospel, begin reading Scripture on their own, and develop a faith that is truly their own.
The preteen group has TWO weekly events:
- PRETEEN SUNDAY SCHOOL
- On Sundays at 9:00 AM there is a Preteen Sunday School where we play games, study God's Word, and memorize scripture.
- PRETEEN WEDNESDY NIGHT MEETING
- On Wednesdays, the preteen students meet at the Chapman House from 6:00 - 8:00.
